Dick de Graaf celebrates a 40 year career in jazz with “Festive”. He had won the Dutch Jazz Competition in 1981. Dick has performed at many national and international jazz stages ever since. He played with a.o. Chet Baker, Misha Mengelberg, Kenny Weeler, Benny Golson, Billy Hart, Toumani Diabaté and Erkan Ogur. He shares his memoirs in the 40 page book (LP size – Dutch language) that accompany 8 compositions (7 new ones by Dick, and a wonderful arrangement of Paul McCartney’s Eleanor Rigby).
