The pandemic winter of 2020-2021 really got to Floris Kappeyne. “Like many people around me, I descended into a darker state… “ He decided to set out on a journey on foot from his home in Amsterdam to Osnabrück in Germany – more specific to recording studio Fattoria Musica. A 250 km walk to record an album of fully improvised music. “It was my way to reflect on that time in my life.”
‘Half of What I Say is Meaningless’ is the fruit of Floris’ pilgrimage. It offers 11 songs solo on the grand piano.
