Rob van Bavel played with Woody Shaw, Randy Brecker, Johnny Griffin and Gary Willis, among others. Joris Teepe with Benny Golson, Sonny Fortune, Billy Hart and Rashied Ali (the last drummer John Coltrane worked with). With their new album Dutch Connection, on vinyl, they give a twist on well-known standards and also play their own compositions. “Their interplay is breathtaking and the piano and double bass seem to become one instrument,” according to magazine Jazzenzo.
