Following his critically acclaimed last album, Bogus Notus, described by All About Jazz as “compulsive listening”, Newbould returns with a new album of original music inspired by his temporary adoption of a Polish homing pigeon as well his own reflections on building a life abroad. Homing mixes the melodic lyricism of jazz and folk with heavy danceable grooves and explosive improvisations. Storytelling with a touch of the cinematic, the music combines humor with sadness, drama with banality, and virtuosity with beautiful and raw simplicity. Feat. Xavi Torres (piano), Bernard van Rossum (tenor), Guy Salomon (drums) and Jort Terwijn (double bass).
